Get to know your superpower: What type of intuitive are you?

As we explore the deepest parts of ourselves, the question of how we receive information often comes into play. Intuition is receiving data. You are an antenna, picking up signals from all around you. All human beings are intuitive and powerful. That includes you. Your intuition is your superpower, one unique to you.

We receive intuitive information in different ways.

The types of intuition that you may experience vary from person to person. Some people are clairvoyant, receiving intuitive information visually. Images appear in their mind. Dreams, even daydreams, fall into this category. Predominantly clairvoyant people tend to be visual learners. However, you can expand your clairvoyant capacities by using creative visualization, a practice where you imagine different situations and things with detail in your mind.

One of the more common types of intuition, clairsentience, is when you have a feeling, a physical sensation within your body. It is when you feel the knot in your stomach, the lump in your throat, or goosebumps telling you to pay attention. Often people who use this type of intuition are empaths. They may "read" the energy of people and environments well.

And then, sometimes, you just know. A person who obtains information by this inner knowing, a thought appearing in mind, is claircognizant. Mothers can relate to this. It is those experiences when you know your child is in trouble. Or a woman who knows that her partner has been unfaithful.

Or perhaps, you might be one of those individuals who receive information intuitively by sound, a clairaudient person. Examples you may have experienced are hearing the lyrics of a song on the radio that provides clarity on whether to pursue a relationship or an inner voice that warns you of a car crash before it happens. Clairaudient individuals are typically people who prefer learning from auditory means. They appreciate music and the sounds of nature.

Although less common, you may pick up intuitive information through a sense of smell. Clairolfactant persons can "smell trouble." Examples are getting a sudden scent of trash in a situation that may not serve your best interest or a smell of apple pie when a loved one wants you to come home.

Intuition is a remarkable complex phenomenon.

The universe is speaking to us all the time. Pay attention. We vary in how we understand and perceive the world around us. Lean into the messages that your intuition is sending you.

Know that we all experience intuition in our way. It is customary for people to have a combination of these types. For instance, I am a clairvoyant and clairsentient person. But I am working on developing my other intuitive senses. You can too.

And, remember that you are unique. Don't compare yourself to others. You are on your own magnificent spiritual journey. Do it in a way that works for you.

Be open to your unique intuitive experience. It's an adventure worth exploring.
